Public Meeting on the Sustainable Communities Act, Wimbledon Community Centre, Thurs 7 May, 7.00-8.30pm12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sun 26th Apr 2009 Local Democracy 4 Merton, together with Local Works, has organised a public meeting to raise awareness about what the Sustainable Communities Act could mean for residents in Merton. Speakers are: Steve Shaw - National Coordinator of Local Works Mike Jeram - National Secretary of UNISON Colin Finch - Parliamentary Chairman of National Federation of Retail Newsagents Also invited: Stephen Hammond MP Cllr David Williams - Leader of Merton Council And local representatives from the National Federation of Women's Institutes Chair: Shas Sheehan - Local Democracy 4 Merton and Parliamentary Campaigner for Wimbledon Liberal Democrats.
